What Do You Need to Play Padel?

Keep your first padel kit simple. Ask your club what is included with your booking before buying equipment.

A padel racket

Choose a racket you can swing comfortably for a full session. Weight, balance, shape and feel all matter. Use the wrist safety cord and check it before play.

Padel balls

Use balls intended for padel and follow your venue’s requirements. Check their bounce and condition before playing. A tennis ball may look similar but is not a reliable substitute for a padel ball.

Court shoes

Use footwear suited to the court surface and lateral movement. Ask the venue or a specialist about the appropriate outsole, then check fit and support. A racket shop listing does not establish that every shoe is suitable.

Comfortable clothing

Wear clothing that allows movement and follows your venue’s rules. If using shorts pockets to carry a spare ball, check that it stays secure while you move. FIRST COURT clothing is in development and is not available to order yet.

Grip and bag

A comfortable grip helps you hold the racket securely. Replace a worn overgrip when it becomes slippery. A bag keeps equipment together; select a size for the kit you actually carry.

Small essentials

Bring water and a towel. Check the booking time, court location and any hire arrangements. A short lesson can help you get more from your first session.

Buying a starter bundle

Read the exact contents of the individual pack. Do not assume a bag, balls or grips are included because they appear in a general promotional image. FIRST COURT lists only verified pack contents and keeps unconfirmed details marked for review.
